Spice Basics
Sweet, salty, smoky and peppery is a delicious combination for a dry rub for steak.
We love New York Strip, with a little fat for flavor.
Here is how we did it:
4 New York Strip Steaks
1 teaspoon Bourbon Barrel Smoked Black Pepper
1 teaspoon Bourbon Barrel Smoked Sea Salt
1 teaspoon Bourbon Barrel Smoked Sugar
1 tablespoon olive oil
Coat steaks with a thin coating of oil.
Combine spices thoroughly, and rub generously on steaks.
Cook to desired temperature - we prefer medium rare
Delicious!
