Each 2-ounce pack is good for about 2-3 gallons of cider or bottles of wine. Heat on stove top or slow cooker—it will make the whole house smell wonderful! We place the spices directly in the liquid and strain with a slotted spoon or use a tea bag or tea ball. Just like tea, the longer it steeps the stronger it will be.
Other variations include serving the mulled cider chilled after completing the mulling process or creating a simple syrup by warming 1 cup of water, 1 cup of sugar, and 1 tablespoon Mulling Spice. Let simmer for 5-8 minutes. Add to hot tea immediately, or chill and use to sweeten cold tea or use in a cocktail.
