3 cups button mushrooms
1/4 cup olive oil
1 stick butter (if you are vegan, omit the butter and add another 1/4 cup olive oil
1 tablespoon minced garlic
1 tablespoon Wordhouse Wow: Herbs for Grilling
Salt to taste
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
Juice of one lemon
Brush off the mushrooms - rinse 'em up. I hate to get them all soggy but you need to get any dirt removed
Preheat oven to 450
Place mushrooms in baking dish (about 9 x 9)
Chop up butter and spread over mushrooms
Add some salt and pepper to taste, the garlic, and olive oil
Place dish in oven and set at about 40 minutes. Check every ten minutes or so and stir when necessary
After mushrooms look pretty well cooked, turn on the broiler and give them a nice browning, but watch it! They can burn easily
Remove from oven
Add Wordhouse Wow Herbs for Grilling and the juice of one lemon
Mix well and serve!
These are REALLY delicious. You can serve them as the main dish along with some fresh cucumbers on the side for a yummy meatless dinner.
