Indigenous to Vietnam this cassia is known as Vietnamese Cinnamon or as it is more popularly named in this country - Saigon Cinnamon. This cinnamon has gained favor with cinnamon aficionados due to its high oil content which comes in at 5%. In comparison Chinese cinnamon is 4% and typical Indonesian cassia is typically 2-3%. This gives a very strong and distinctive cinnamon flavor.
