Ingredients for Pepperoni Bread:
Bread dough either homemade or store bought
Johnny Pizza from Milford Spice Company
1 package of Pepperoni
6 oz. Mozzarella Cheese and/or 6 oz. Asiago Cheese
Cornmeal
Preheat oven to 450 degrees and use a pizza stone or the back of a flat sheet pan. Take the bread dough (use a little flour to help) and make into a rectangle about 9 x 12 inches. Add the pepperoni covering the dough evenly. Leave a 1/2 inch of dough all around to help seal bread. Spread cheese evenly all over the bread. Sprinkle the Johnny Pizza seasoning over the cheese.
Roll like a jelly roll the bread and seal the bottom end. Cover with a dry sack towel. Let it rise on a pizza peel with cornmeal for 60 minutes or doubled in bulk. Score the top of the bread with a sharp knife. Bake for 30 minutes or until done. Rest 15 minutes. Eat with Dipping Sauce.
Ingredients for Dipping Sauce:
An Evening in Tuscany from Milford Spice Company
Olive Oil
14 oz. can of tomato sauce
1 Tablespoon of tomato paste
Bloom the spices (An Evening in Tuscany) in olive oil until you smell the spices. Add tomato sauce and stir. Add tomato paste and stir. Serve either warm or cool.
